Our Design Process

Learn What We Do

Our Design Process

Step 1 – The Consultation

The consultation is usually carried out over the phone and aims to give your dedicated designer an idea of what you are trying to achieve with your space, whether this be in the form of a low maintenance garden, or a hosting area. This just helps us to gain a very basic understanding of your vision upon arrival.

We also ask that you provide us with an idea of what your budget is, we can then take this into account whilst designing your garden, ensuring we use products within your price range.

Step 2 – Research

We kindly ask that before we carry out your site survey that you prepare some images of gardens which you like, the more the better. This allows our site surveyor to have a good overview of what you are interested in.

We’re not asking for you to know exactly what you want; however, a range of images allows the design team to go away and produce a drawing which incorporates elements in which you had expressed interest.

Step 3 – Site Survey

We will then visit your property taking measurements and heights to help us create an exact design that suits your space.

Visiting your garden in person allows us to take into consideration the orientation of your space in relation to the sun, a very important element when it comes to planting. It also means we get a feel for your space, we can then let our imaginations wonder.

Initial ideas will be presented to you and any suggestions you make will be taken away with us.

Step 4 – Initial Design

After gathering all of the information we need from you it is a case of combing all of our ideas and expressing them in the way of a 2D sketch. Once we have produced a drawing we are happy with we will contact you and go through the design in detail, making any amendments needed.

Step 5 - Finalising Plans & Construction

Once the design has been agreed we will then be able to give you an accurate evaluation of costing.

We will then arrange a start date with you before visiting the site to begin construction, this usually begins by marking out the area with the use of spray line and then the fun begins.

It can all seem quite daunting with large machinery digging up your garden however our friendly construction team are very approachable and will always keep your area as tidy as possible.
